Teller & Schenker

Two distinct branches, presented together since they share one household in the chain below. Revised 2026-09-22.

No original-record images exist for either branch. Every item below is CITATION-ONLY: a family-compiled chart plus family testimony, not yet corroborated by an independently held civil or religious record image (one exception noted below).

Schenker → Teller: the core chain

TL-01 fam

Per the family-compiled tree ("family-compiled tree, Yankel Teller, last updated 25 Dec 2022" — cited by description only, never linked or embedded here):

Reizel Schnitzer married Akiva Schenker. Their daughter Rivka-Layeh, Lola Schenker, married Yosef-Mattisyahu Teller, son of Yaakov and Elka Teller, originally from a place recorded as "Dzepenick" — becoming Lola (Rivka-Leyah) Teller, née Schenker. Their daughter Reizel-Elka (Rosalie Teller) married Emanuel Shapiro — the connecting point to the Shapiro branch.

"Dzepenick" (also transcribed elsewhere as Rzepiennik) has not been matched to a confirmed present-day place. Preserved as the family's own spelling, not normalized to a guess.

Lola Teller — one independent corroboration

TL-02 cor

Beth Moses cemetery records Rivka-Layeh (Lola) Teller's death on 15 June 2014, section 2, block 18, row 8, grave 4 — matching the family's own observed yahrzeit of 17 Sivan. A cemetery burial record is independent of the family chart, though it confirms only the death date/place, not parentage.

Schenker family notes

SC-01 fam

The family chart marks Moshe-Aron and Mordechai Schenker as deceased, and states Esther and Yisroel Schenker died as children during an epidemic. Explicitly family-compiled; awaiting primary records.

Open, unreconciled: row count

TL-03 unv

The branch's own text states "228 nonblank spreadsheet rows." A direct count of the underlying file's own non-numeric name/relationship entries found 232 (or ~231 excluding a header/metadata cell). The methodology difference has not been reconciled — noted here as open, not resolved.

The spreadsheet's full generation-by-generation structure (234 rows) has not yet been transcribed into per-person records here — only the core chain and the items above have been. Any fuller transcription must continue to exclude the spreadsheet's own header cell and the separate phone-list file from any public output.
